The Pamir

Galea’s Art Gallery in Valletta Malta is currently run by Pierre and Eddy Galea.

Edwin, an authority in marine art, is still painting everyday and his paintings are still selling from both the studio and the art gallery however they now also sell, import and distribute artist supplies.

They recently opened a 300 year old cellar in Valletta for their very exclusive “creativity centre” where both courses and workshops are held.

In 2012 one of our old stores was restored and transformed into a centre for art lessons, workshops, life drawing classes and mini exhibitions.

We call it The Creativity Store. Its beautiful architecture, with high ceilings and niches, provides the perfect atmosphere for these sessions.

We hold regular open classes during the week. In these classes students are taught according to their needs. They could be studying for an exam, doing it just as a hobby or even to reach a higher level of understanding of the art and its techniques. Mediums taught are: pencil/charcoal, watercolour, acrylics and oils.

Every 3 months we hold a life drawing workshop. Here students are given a lesson on human anatomy and how to tackle the human figure. The practical part of the workshop is done using a live professional model.

Our in-house artist and tutor is Mr. Luca Cauchi. Luca is a talented young artist. His method of teaching is very classical, based on the techniques of the Masters but adapted to suit students of all ages and levels, so one does not find the lessons difficult, but rather challenging and fun.

Classes are small (not more than 7 students) and individual attention is totally guaranteed.
